mURdEr cLuB cANDy is my 4th book. I finished it in 2010 and it has been stranded in PDF format ever since (I wrote it in LaTeX, outputted it to PDF, then lost the LaTeX file!)
I tried using another AI to convert it (and failed) but Claude came through in this case, doing a quite good conversion from PDF to Markdown. In case you think that was a 1 step process, it wasn't—I worked with Claude on many details of the conversion, telling it what to do. Ultimately, I feel it was successful. The output is good enough that I'm putting it up as my mURdEr cLuB cANDy page, but imperfect enough that I'm leaving my old PDF version in the Sourcehut project (in etc/murder_club.pdf) while I continue to edit the Markdown
